A SUSTAINABLE cleaning and waste management solutions company has been named the 2016 Telstra South Australian Business of the Year.
Adelaide Green Clean, which provides cleaning services to festivals, events and commercial properties, took top honours at the Telstra SA New Business Award.
Telstra Business Awards ambassador Andy Ellis said that Adelaide Green Clean demonstrated strong financial management and performance.
“They have good depth and breadth of systems and processes and leverage technology for productivity gains,” he said.
“Also, importantly, they’ve demonstrated an outstanding culture and leadership of the business.”
Adelaide Green Clean managing director Jordan Walsh said sustainability was at the heart of its business.
“One of our core values is environment first, and we are passionate about providing our clients with a cost-effective cleaning and recycling solution with the unique processes we have developed,” he said.
The SA Micro Business Award winner was Nature’s Quest, making natural skin and hair care products free from harsh chemicals, parabens, artificial colours and fragrances.
Positive Lending Solutions received the SA Small Business Award in recognition of its strategies to disrupt the existing lending industry.
Barossa Fine Foods was named the SA Medium Business Award winner, and the judges commended the family enterprise for taking control and responsibility for strong, stable growth.
The SA Charity Award was won by disability services provider Barkuma.
